Meet Tiffany

I’m Tiffany Jones, a local mom and Territory Executive for medical device company who has a decade of experience in owning a business.  I’m running for State Assembly to be an effective voice for Southwest Las Vegas.  I was born, raised, and educated in San Diego, CA.  I graduated from UCSD with a BA in Psychology.  I moved to here in 2005 to begin my career in the wedding cake industry, which provided the necessary experience to open my own bakery business in 2011.

Tiffany Is Fighting For

  • I’m a firm believer that every child deserves the opportunity to have a great education. My Filipino mother instilled in me the importance of a high-quality education, hard work, and tenacity, which are values I am passing on to my own daughter. Parents should be empowered to advocate for their children and should be the ultimate decision makers when it comes to where their children attend school. Zip codes should not dictate where a child must go to school. As your next Assemblywoman my top priorities when it comes to education would be:

Break up Clark County School District. It is too big to function properly, and our children are suffering as a result. Greater local control is the solution.

Empower families with “school choice.” Parents know what is best for their child. It is critical education funding follows the student into the classroom. I will fight to ensure that money does in fact reach the classroom and that we don’t continue to write blank checks to the education bureaucracy and hope for the best.

  • The bottom line is, we deserve to be safe! Safe in our homes, neighborhoods, businesses, and public places. Our children need to be able to play outside. As a woman, I want to feel secure in going for a walk or run, alone. Neighborhood crime is increasing rapidly. As your next representative, I promise to:

Give the women and men of law enforcement the tools and training they need to keep us all safe.

Work to increase mental health resources to our community, thereby decreasing law enforcements’ need to be engaged and will provide help for those that, too often, can’t help themselves.

Not defund the police in any way, shape or form.

  • Governor Sisolak’s actions have shown us how important our system of checks and balances is. Two years of an emergency declaration is obnoxious. The ability for our state to recover has been unnecessarily hindered due to the abuse of these ongoing “emergency directives.” I will fight for:

Limits to the “Emergency Powers” law.

Clear, strong standards when it comes to government accountability .

Less red tape and no more nonsensical mandates.

  • Working in the medical device industry, I’ve had the privilege of working with many of Nevada’s hardworking doctors, who day in and day out do their best to provide the best possible outcomes to their patients. Unfortunately, there is a high probability that Democrats are going to present legislation that will drive even more of our limited supply of doctors out of the state. I promise, as your next Assemblywoman, I will do everything in my power to prevent that from happening. I want to bring the knowledge I have of the medical industry to the legislature and use it to do everything I can to look for solutions that lower costs, create transparency, provide relief for families, and keep our doctors in Nevada!

  • Owning a small business for the better part of a decade was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences that I’ve ever had. I understand what it means to make payroll, balance a budget, and make sure employees are taken care of. I have seen our economy go through extreme highs and lows and understand the frustration that people are feeling due to the unprecedented inflation we are currently experiencing. Inflation is at an all-time high and families, including my own, are having to find the balance of how to pay for gas, groceries, and other necessities. Trust me when I say, I know exactly what you’re going through. We are all dealing with the ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic. If there is one lesson to be learned from this pandemic, it’s that we need to take steps to further diversify our economy, so we are not so dependent upon one industry for a third of our state’s revenue. At the legislature, my goals will be to:

    Build upon economic development.

Remove barriers that slow business growth.

Create a responsive regulatory system that allows new industries and companies to begin operating quickly.

    Lower taxes and fees
